Mercury is the planetary
ruler of Wednesday- he is seen as a guide between the worlds. Witches can
work with Mercury to link the
material plane of Earth with the astral.
You will need:
9 black beans (or perhaps use the rare seed of the herb 'Jobs Tears'
some esoteric supply stores have them - they are great for granting
wishes)
2 white candles
black poppy seeds and oregano ground together to make incense (burn
on a charcoal disc)
Chalice (or stemmed glass) with spring water
Access to crossroads with privacy to dig a hole (or a point where
three to four paths meet in the forest)
Important: The wish you have needs to be expressed in nine words, exactly.
Light the candles, burn the incense and stamp the earth three times to get the attention of the other worlds. Say this incantation solemnly:
"Spirit of Air
Guide of the Dead
Hear my words as they are said
Mighty Ones pay heed to me
Grant my wish
So Mote It Be"
Spread the 9 beans in
a row. Whisper one word of your wish to each one. Sprinkle them with water
from the Chalice, then take them in
your hand and pass them through the smoke of the incense.
Now bury the beans at the crossroads. When you have covered them place your hand over the spot and say:
"My gratitude to the Mighty Dead"
Turn around and leave without looking back. Your wish will come true.
