All that extra overhead is
not necessary! Today, it is more necessary than ever to stick to that bottom
line, and hiring a freelance
contractor is the way to go. You, as the customer, can still have the quality
you want, at a price you can
feel good about.
For a quote or estimate
for your website, illustrations or animations, please send a detailed e-mail
message describing what you have in mind. I will send your quote back as
quickly as possible. Prices
will vary according to what you want, from a simple, no-frills $50 single
page to a complete, extravagant,
3D animation and Flash site!
Most sites are built
on a per hour basis, giving you the freedom to have control over what you
want to
spend vs. what you want on the site. If we agree to a flat fee for your
site, it will be payable in three
installments of 50:25:25. That is 50% in advance, 25% at the approval meeting
(whether in person, by
phone, or through e-mail), and the last 25% before your web site is moved
to your Internet URL.
Changes that effect 30% or more of the site after the first approval meeting
will require a re-negotiation
of the price. It is a good idea to plan out what you want before
the work begins!
If you
choose to build your site on a per hour fee, we will discuss the arrangements
prior to beginning
work on the site, and decide on a reasonable estimate for what you have
in mind. Then upon payment
of 50% of our estimate, the site will be built, with a weekly detailed report
of time spent e-mailed to you.
Once the original 50% is reached, payment on the remainder of the work will
be due upon receipt of
each week's report, and all payments will be made before the site becomes
your property.
While your
site is being built, you will be given a link to a temporary page, which
will let you view
your site as it's being built! This makes it very easy for you to keep track
of the work in progress, and
offer suggestions quickly when you'd like to change something.
