So who am I? What am I?
 I am a witch, plain and simple. My particular style of magick is called "chaos magick" by some, because I have chosen the methods that work for me and discarded the religious trappings. I am an ordained Minister from the ULC, with a Doctorate in Metaphysics, and a member of the Sylvan Hearth Coven. Ordained Minister? How can that be, if I don't have a religion? Who knows...still working that part out. Maybe I'll start a trend towards "anti-religion" :D Ordination is handy for performing legal weddings, however! LOL. It is important to understand the natural laws behind the workings of magic, and the reasons behind the use of ritual in the performance of a magical working. Everything in the Universe contains energy, a "collective consciousness" more or less. As we pass in and out of our "lives" we gain more of an understanding of the world around us, then blend back into the morass of energy, retaining some of what we've learned, to start again.

Energy never "disappears." It changes constantly, but it's always there in one form or another (scientifically proven!). When our bodies die, our energy, the part that is "us," dissipates back into the world around us. Our essence still exists, just in a form that science has yet to put a label on. Our energy has been around since the beginning, circulating through everything, and it holds onto basic memories, and as it lives through lifetime after lifetime, it remembers the basic survival skills, all the way back to the beginning, and uses that basic knowledge to guide us - (instinct!). We can continue to grow, in whatever form we are in, and learn from ourselves if we pay attention... I believe that the "ghosts" and "spirits" one sees or hears about all the time are simply people or creatures that have a strong enough will to retain more of themselves, to pull together some part of their former image and make themselves seen and felt... I believe that when you see a person, and get that weird feeling that you know them from somewhere, you are recognizing a part of yourself from a previous existence.
